WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE WANT
Take a Break from Brexit is a national campaign seeking to extend and democratise the Brexit process. We campaign for a significant extension of Article 50 which will grant us more time to discuss what to make of Brexit, rather than rush a decision that will affect us for decades to come.
We have developed a plan to use Citizens' Assemblies on Brexit to let the citizens decide what should happen now.
We respect the choice of all those who could vote in the Brexit referendum and we recognise the democratic outcome of the vote. All of us sympathise with the valid reasons of many of those who voted Remain, and understand and share the motives of many of those who voted Leave. Fundamentally, we believe in democracy.
But we also believe that the current Brexit process fails everyone and that we need more time and a better democratic process to understand what to make of Brexit.
