Our proposal on Citizens' Assembly at the Labour conference

Take a Break from Brexit and DiEM25 present their Proposal for Citizens’ Assemblies on Brexit at the Labour Party Conference

  Sep 22nd 2019.

Holiday Inn Brighton - Seafront

Kings Rd, Brighton

Take a Break from Brexit together with the British wing of the international grassroots Democracy in Europe Movement 2025 (DiEM25) will be presenting their proposal for Citizens’ Assemblies on Brexit on September 22, 2019, as part of the fringe programme for the upcoming Labour Party Conference. The event will include a panel discussion featuring Yanis Varoufakis (DiEM25 founder) and Julie Ward, MEP (Labour) and Lisa Nandy, MP.

A series of Citizens’ Assemblies on Brexit can restore democracy to the people of the United Kingdom - offering them a real opportunity to be heard and to engage in an honest and open discussion on the issues that affect their daily lives and have informed their leave/remain/abstain decision.
